In 2013, during his first trip to Bangladesh, Arko met an influencial journalist called Munni Saha, head of new reporting at ATN News in Dhaka.
Getting attracted by Arko’s versatality and study on Bengali and International folk music and his stories of travel, Munni decided Arko to be featured in a Live TV interview, and the response was incredible.
In 2014, Arko was invited by ATN News to be fearured in a News documentary of 8hours called Bhorsha Thakuk Bangla Gaane. The documentary shows the a journey of Arko and Munni through the remote villages of Bangladesh, Urban Cafes, Universities, local street tea shops, River rides etc and talks about the roots of bengali music and it’s history of immigration along with the stories of Arko’s travels in Europe and his family roots in East Bengal. The Documentary was broadcast on the day of Bengali New Year and recieved great appreciation. Arko has also been featured in several other documentary films made by young film makers.
